Start with the water, then check where it traveled

The visible water was only the starting point. Our work records show where we checked for moisture and extracted water before setting up drying equipment.

These January job photos show the scale of the response: extraction equipment in a large room, hoses running through the property and air movers positioned along a hallway. Equipment placement followed the affected areas and available access.

For help with a water emergency, see water damage restoration in Killeen. If carpet is wet, our water extraction and carpet drying guide explains why padding and the floor underneath need checking too.

Drying continued after extraction

Removing standing water does not mean the building materials are dry. The job record describes professional drying equipment, daily monitoring of conditions and moisture readings, and adjustments to airflow, dehumidification and equipment as the work progressed.

The final readings for this project met the drying targets on February 9, 2026. Drying time varies from job to job, depending on the materials, how wet they are and which areas we can reach.

Photos and monitoring records help explain the work performed and the decisions made along the way. See our interactive moisture-record example for the locations, materials, comparisons and final checks that a homeowner can ask about. The example is fictional; the Killeen project described here is real.

What to tell us when you call

Tell us your city, when the leak began, whether water is still coming in and which areas are affected. Keep clear of wet electrical equipment and standing water. Stop the source only if you can do so safely.

We will check the damage and explain the cleanup and drying needed. Water emergencies receive priority dispatch. Tell us your location and how to access the property so we can send help and explain when to expect us.
